Where to bring in the New Year in HK

 

Get your outfits ready for the biggest night of the year. Weather cold enough for you to get into the festive spirit but warm enough to still enjoy the many rooftop bars, with arguably the best skyline in the world and a show stopping fireworks display, Hong Kong doesn’t have much competition!

Here’s a run down of NYE in HK and where to watch the fireworks and make sure you see out 2018 with a bang!

 

 

The fireworks will be in their usual spot on Victoria Harbour which gives us a huge amount of choice for viewing locations. Some might say front row seats are the best seats, but when it comes to HK firework displays, they’re so grand that you’ll get a good view from most spots along the waterfront (both Island and TST side). We recommend going up to the roof of Central Ferry Pier 3, grab a drink from Pier 3 Bar and look out over the harbour and the bustling crowds.

For a more glamorous rooftop, we recommend one of Aqua Groups sophisticated bars and restaurants in One Peking Building (TST) boasting floor to ceiling windows and all with equally breathtaking views over the harbour. If your viewing from the Island side, Sevva is an all time favourite at Christmas time – views over the harbour and the festive Statue Square.

If you can’t beat them… join them! Jump aboard the Aqua Luna – HK’s traditional red sail junk, sip on a cocktail and view the fireworks right from the harbour. Or if you’re lucky enough to have a few over the harbour from home, then NYE is most definitely the perfect excuse to host a unforgettable soirée!
