1. WORLD CITY CHAMPIONSHIP

The World City Championship, a prestigious golf tournament with a prize of USD 1 million, will be hosted at the iconic Hong Kong golf venue, Fanling. It is the seventh leg of the 2023 Asian Tour and is considered one of the most significant golf events held at Fanling. The tournament was put on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions and will return after a three-year hiatus. The last edition was held in 2020.

2. SPRING LADIES TOURNAMENT 2023

The Spring Ladies Tournament is a highly anticipated golf event in Hong Kong, played according to the rules of the Royal & Ancient Rules Limited and the tournament committee. The tournament involves playing 18 holes, with ties decided by a countback. The winner will be determined based on the highest number of Stableford points scored over holes 10-18, and if there is still no winner, points scored over specific holes will be considered, followed by a coin toss if necessary.

3. WOMEN’S ARAMCO TEAM SERIES

The Aramco Team Series, a prestigious team tournament in women’s golf, will hold its fourth round in Hong Kong as part of the Ladies European Tour. The tournament will feature 36 teams, and the unique format allows teams of three professionals and one amateur to compete, giving amateur players the opportunity to play alongside experienced professionals. The tournament marks a renewed and strong relationship between the Middle East and Hong Kong and is the first step towards hosting more mega sporting events in the future.

4. HONG KONG OPEN

The legendary Hong Kong Open golf tournament will return to the courses in 2023 after a three-year hiatus. The Hong Kong Golf Club and the Hong Kong Golf Association issued a joint statement confirming their commitment to the return of the city’s longest-running professional sporting event. Further details of the tournament are yet to be announced, but it is sure to be highly anticipated by the Hong Kong golf community. The last edition was won by Australia’s Wade Ormsby, a two-time winner on the Hong Kong Golf Club’s Championship Course.
