As the New Year rolls in, there are lots of new restaurants and foods to try out. Many will be open already but if you’re looking to expand your list of tried and tested restaurants then this is the place to start!

 

 

1. SẾP

SẾP Restaurant. Formal plated counter.

 

This contemporary Indochine Vietnamese restaurant with wood-fire concept is helmed by Executive Chef DoBee Lam, a multi-talented Hong Kong Chef with over 25 years of experience in Food & Beverage industry. The Vietnamese word SẾP originated from the French word “Chef”, which means “Boss” or “Chef”. Chef DoBee aims to bring in a brand new dining experience to Hong Kong diners, he hopes his guests can enjoy the unique comfort food at SẾP

2. ROSITA

The new venture of long-time friends and veteran chef-founders Ricardo Chaneton (MONO) and Agustin Ferrando Balbi (Ando), Rosita presents a fresh iteration of New Latin American cuisine, elevated by Japanese and French influences.

3. NAKAME NO TEPPEN

A hidden treasure from Tokyo, Nakame no Teppen is definitely a new gem for an authentic izakaya experience. Head here for robataki dishes, made with the highest quality ingredients sourced from around Japan. Custom-designed tatami-inspired booths line one side of the restaurant, with an open robataki bar.

4. VISTA RISTORANTE

5. BUSHRA

Middle-eastern restaurant.

 

The two-level restaurant and bar lounge is the new spot for authentic Middle Eastern fare. The kitchen is headed by three chefs — Morocco-born El Mehdi Zenasni, Egyptian Sakr Tamer and Najib Farkhoury from Lebanon — who together combine their skills and experience to present a tantalising menu of popular dishes from their homelands.
