Neighbourhood Guide to Tai Hang

Nest Property

Just around the corner from the Causeway Bay chaos is the laidback neighbourhood Tai Hang. Whilst it’s still fairly new to Hong Kong’s social scene, this neighbourhood is home to some great restaurants, bars and quirky shops!

Where to Eat / Drink

Second Draft

Offering a great selection of local craft beers from Young Masters Brewery, as well as creative fusion dishes from celebrity chef May Chow. Second Draft is a must-visit, and a great addition to the Tai Hang hood!

Elementary

Opening its doors back in March 2018, Elementary is another great addition to the well-known Catch Concepts. The stand-out exterior draws you into this chic little eatery, and the relaxed vibe and sharing-style plates make for a great social brunch spot at the weekend.

Unar Coffee

A cosy little coffee joint with expertly brewed coffee and insta-worthy interiors. There’s no wonder they have steady crowds spilling out onto the streets. They may be short on seating, but this place is worth a visit and known for serving the best coffee in the neighbourhood.

Bond

From Three Monkeys co-founder John Liang comes Bond, also situated in the boutique hotel Little Tai Hang. Their spacious, open terrace is the perfect place for brunching in the sun, and it doesn’t have to end there as they offer an incredible happy hour which starts straight after. Get comfy!

A speciality teahouse perfect for tea lovers. Unwind amongst the tea lined walls and sip away on the perfect cuppa. Their tea is hand blended and custom made using the world’s finest organic teas and botanicals making a unique story for each tea, and with the extensive menu, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Plumcot Ice cream

Opened by professional pastry chefs (do we need to say anymore?), this true hidden gem brings a taste of Paris to the Tai Hang streets. Serving up artisanal ice cream, cakes, breads and French pastries, Plumcot is definitely worth a visit. And the homemade gelato makes for a great refresher whilst strolling the streets of Tai Hang.
