New Restaurants This July in Hong Kong

Nest Property

Hong Kong’s dining scene continues evolving with exciting new restaurants throughout 2025. From innovative concepts to casual spots and major re-openings, chefs offer increasingly diverse culinary experiences.

01. Canton House

Canton House elevates Cantonese cuisine through local ingredients, traditional methods, and contemporary Hong Kong interpretations. Their motto “Cantonese reinvented, rediscover Hong Kong” balances tradition with creativity, creating a culinary map of the city. Standout dishes include Honey-glazed Barbecued Iberico Pork with special char siu sauce and Roasted Emperor Chicken with deep-fried garlic and chilli, featuring meticulously prepared golden-crispy skin. Essential dim sum offerings complete the experience.

02. Omnia

Chef Nadim Hamze (Sumac founder) introduces Omnia, his most personal venture featuring refined Lebanese cuisine that innovates tradition. The restaurant champions connections between his heritage and Hong Kong’s international palate. Menu highlights include cold mezze like Zucchini Baba Ghanouj and Walnut Romesco, layered Eggplant Fatteh with roasted eggplant and crispy bread, perfectly grilled Mixed Grill featuring chicken, beef, and lamb, plus rich Baklawa with phyllo pastry and nuts.

03. The Porch

The Porch at Kerry Hotel offers a refreshing casual Korean dining experience inspired by traditional ‘madang’ courtyard culture, where the porch becomes a communal gathering space. This cozy restaurant features harbour views and serves Hong Kong’s “first” National OG Chicken, a 1960s classic originally created for laborers. The menu includes Kochi-style skewers, Korean Marinated Galbi Ribs, and Perilla Oil Makguksu Noodles. Traditional ‘bansang’ lunch sets feature Grilled Mackerel or Gochujang-glazed Bulgogi with unlimited banchan refills, concluding with patbingsu Korean shaved ice.

This complex broth features nine species and natural lactic acid bacteria fermented for 160 days, creating unforgettable flavor depth. Additional broths include Supreme Beef Tallow Spicy with varied chillies, plus milder Xinjiang Yellow Tomato and Yunnan Wild Mushroom options. Premium ingredients feature quality beef cuts like short ribs, ribeye, and brisket, plus the signature Nine Treasures platter with Duck Blood Curd, Black Tripe, and Tai Chi Beef.
