Best Glamping Sites In Hong Kong

Nest Property

We love Hong Kong for its people, the pulse and the 24*7 attitude. But once in a while we all need to reset – trade the city sirens for the birdsongs, the skyscrapers for the seaside serenity.

R&R doesn’t always mean being cooped away in a hotel room or sipping sangria by the pool. Sometimes it’s a beautiful, outdoorsy, adventurous staycation! But if you couldn’t be bothered with all the hassles of packing, then glamping is the answer to all your (starlit) prayers. With ideal locations, retro-futuristic stargazing bubbles and luxury caravans, these glamping spots make for ideal getaways.

Saiyuen Camping & Adventure Park

We’d wager this one to be the most instagrammable glamping site in the 852!

For thrill seekers, this 11-acres outdoor adventure land, located in the southwestern tip of Cheung Chau island, is the stuff of dreams! The site offers a range of outdoor activities – archery, treetop canopy, bubble soccer, drumming sessions, rock climbing, amongst others. Top the cuteness quotient at the goat pen where you can pay to pet the farm animal!

The glamping site includes four themes- Native American Teepee, African Safari Tent, Star Gazing Geodesic Dome and The Mongolian Ger. How could you not want to stay in the ultra-modern, transparent Geodesic Dome! But you can’t go wrong with any choice here. All tents are fitted with air conditioning, folding beds, sleeping bags, lights and mozzie nets. All you have to do is pack yourself and a fine company for the adventure!

Welcome Beach

Bigger families and groups of friends will appreciate the extra privacy on this camp site

There’s more to Lantau than the cable car, Big Buddha and the endlessly long coastlines. This glamping site, stone’s throw away from the Cheung Sha beach, has luxurious caravans for a truly memorable experience.

The caravans are more spacious than you can imagine! An open plan space, decked with double beds, air conditioning, a television set, a mini fridge, open kitchen and WiFi.

Spend your day lazing at the beautiful Cheung Sha beach and, come sunset, fire up the barbecue, make some s’mores or set up a picnic right outside your caravan. No frills, no cramped teepees either – just a beautiful summer day soaking in the sun, sands and some scrumptious feasts.

What’s not to love?

Park Nature

Winning over our city-slicker hearts!

A serene oasis in the midst of Yeun Long’s stunning natural landscape. Sandwiched between Nam Sang Wai and Hong Kong Wetland Park, the place is ideal to recharge, reconnect with nature and find your groove.

Accommodation includes Moroccan-themed caravans and minimalist tents – whatever’s your vibe, there’s an option for you. The swanky stargazing tent is the real showstopper here – fitted with classy wooden interiors, luxurious beddings, personal showers and massive windows to give you the thrill of sleeping under the stars!

You’re in close proximity to the Kai Kung Leng hiking trail and smack-dab in the midst of the Hong Kong Wetland Park. A post-hike Riesling, barbecue or a hearty Thai dinner with a view- don’t mind if we do!

Long Coast Sea Sports

Ease into the glamping life with unobstructed views of the Cheung Sha beach!

Water sports junkies ahoy!

Long Coast Seasports is both a water sports centre and a beachside camping spot.

It offers an array of water sports activities – kayaking, skim boarding, surf boarding, etc. – replete with equipment rentals and professional support. What more can one ask for in a holiday experience!

Camping enthusiasts can rough it out in cosy safari tents, the 3-meter tall luxury tents or the family-sized caravans. The facility comes with air conditioning, showering amenities, comfortable mattresses and offers an unparalleled view of the Cheung Sha beach. In these socially distanced times, there’s no need to hit the stores for food supplies – all meals and barbecues can be included in your stay.

Game on!
