A Guide to: Kennedy Town

Nest Property

What used to be a sleepy district is now on the top of the must visit list for Hong Kong hipsters. Kennedy Town has something for everyone whether its foodies, instagrammers, dog lovers or just the appreciation of being so close to the water. The sea breeze is definitely a favourite, with Kennedy Town being one of the very few neighbourhoods where you can still access the water!

A neighbourhood which has it all… plenty of trendy restaurants and bars, green parks and even hiking spots. With numerous transport links, Kennedy Town is convenient but still manages to stay quiet enough and give you an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city streets.

Eat/Drink

Catch

This is our go to brunch spot. At Catch they take eggs and avo to the next level with their melbourne style menu.

Mama Malouf

The sister restaurant of Catch and easily located as it is just next door. This restaurant is fun and vibrant, serving up authentic middle eastern cuisine perfect for sharing.

Comptoir

Boasting their very own wine cellar, Comptoir is a great place to socialize amongst friends with a glass or two of their mainly french selected wines. Although their food is delicious so we would recommend going full whack and diving into their tapas menu as well.

Fish & Chick

Take advantage of the sea breeze and enjoy their famous fish and chips on one of the benches along the water. This will have you feeling particularly British!

Missy Ho’s

Kennedy Town’s coolest restaurant tucked away on Forbes Street. They might be part of Castello Concepts but this restaurant couldn’t be more different. With no signs this really is Kennedy Town’s best kept secret. Head over to taste their ‘funky fusion flavours’.

Places to Go

Kennedy Town Swimming Pool

As far as public swimming pools go, this one is up there with the best of them. After the ravamp of both pools, they now have two indoor pools and two outdoor pools (one kiddie pool). Perfect for a last minute plan on a sunny day. Less than HK$20 to get in and it’s a pretty awesome spot to watch the sunset over the water.

Instagram Pier

Need a few extra likes on the gram? Or just a new spot to walk the dog? This cargo dock which was once used as a container terminal, is now a famous spot for photographers and bloggers. Head down for an evening stroll, enjoy the sunset and catch the Disney fireworks!

Lemon Drop Yoga

A cosy and intimate yoga studio with high ceilings and heaps of natural light. Take your pick out of their many classes, from detox flow to hardcore HIIT. This studio even offers Kids yoga for those who are more of an observer than a doer!
